Sedimentologic/Stratigraphic analyses at exploration and reservoir scales, comprising:
a) Core description, including detailed description of facies, facies associations, and interpretation of depositional systems, integrated to wireline logs and petrophysical analyses.
b) Quantification of outcrop analogues for reservoir modeling: Analysis of lateral and vertical facies association distribution and geometries, which can be used in flow simulation studies and other production activities.
Quantification of outcrop analogues for reservoir modeling
c) Sequence stratigraphic interpretation from well/seismic data: high-resolution sequence stratigraphic interpretation of seismic and well-log to provide a detailed geometry and stratigraphic information for identification of reservoirs and compartments. Logs and seismic information are used to elaborate isopach and isolith maps.
Sequence stratigraphic interpretation from well/seismic data
d) Integrated core-log petrophysical studies: integration of well-log with petrographic, petrophysical and sedimentologic data, aiming to understand the geological attributes that control the distribution of porosity and permeability in the reservoirs.
Integrated core-log petrophysical studies
e) Detailed 3D geological model construction: elaboration of tri-dimensional geometrical models of reservoirs.
Detailed 3D geological model construction
f) Spatial mapping of reservoir properties with software systems to calculate, map and display 3D reservoir parameters, flow unit definition, and for reservoir model building, by quantitatively correlating well-log attribute data with rock properties: porosity, fluid type, lithology, net pay thickness, and other reservoir properties.
